1. Matt Finishes Stay on Top

2. Green, Blue and Earthy Tones
Sage and deeper greens, indigo and denim blues, and warm neutrals like cashmere and taupe are everywhere. Used on an island or base units with neutral walls, they add character without overwhelming — and they've had enough staying power now to feel like more than a fad.
3. Warm Woods and Two-Tone
Natural and oak-effect finishes are back, often paired with a painted colour in a two-tone scheme — wood on one run or the island, a colour elsewhere. It brings warmth that all-white kitchens can lack.
4. Handleless and Streamlined
Clean, uninterrupted fronts continue to grow, especially in open-plan spaces where the kitchen is on show. J-profile and push-to-open keep the look minimal.
5. Bigger, Harder-Working Storage
Tall larders, deep pan drawers and clever corner solutions are prioritised over wall cupboards, with some kitchens dropping wall units altogether for open shelving or tall banks. Function is the trend as much as looks.
6. Statement Islands
Where space allows, the island is the centrepiece — often in a contrasting colour, with seating and storage built in.
What Will Last?
If you want a kitchen that still looks right in ten years, keep the expensive, permanent elements — cabinets and worktops — relatively neutral, and express trends through things that are cheap to change: handles, paint, splashbacks and accessories.
