Two-Part Corner Post and Flexible Corner Planning

A standard corner post gives a fixed setback. A two-part corner post is adjustable - it lets you vary the clearance between the corner unit and the adjoining run, so you can fine-tune the corner to suit your doors, handles and available wall space.

How it works

Instead of a single fixed filler, the two-part post has an element that slides or overlaps against a fixed part. Adjusting how far the two parts extend changes the setback, giving you a range of clearance rather than one fixed dimension.

Why flexible planning helps

• Absorbs small variations in wall length so the run still fits
• Lets you increase clearance for chunky handles or thicker doors
• Helps square up corners in older rooms where walls are not true

Getting it right

Set the adjustment so the corner door and the neighbouring door clear each other through their full swing, then check the run measures neatly against the walls. The flexibility means you rarely need to compromise on either.
